Insurance Adjuster Tactics June 4, 2009

As a personal injury lawyer practicing in Daytona Beach Florida, I see how auto insurer’s deal with people involved in accidents.  My clients tell me that the insurnace adjuster will tell them that they are a certain percentage at fault or that there is only a certain amount of insurance coverage available to them.   The adjusters will come to the hospital or to the person’s home and tell them their opinion about the case.  Let me emphasize the word OPINION.  

The adjuster does not get to decide what percentage of fault a driver has in causing an accident, only a jury does.   The adjuster does not get to decide what insurance coverage is available, only a judge does.  I am not saying that the adjusters are intentionally defrauding people involved in car accidents but everything that they say in only their opinion.  So don’t take an insurance adjusters word for what your rights are, educate yourself and ask questions.  If you need help call me at (386) 255-4020.
